Consort Iridiana

CONSORT IRIDIANA is an all-female choir founded by Jonathan in 2009. Named after the Greek goddess Iris, who travelled along rainbows to bring messages from the heavens to the earth, Iridiana sings a wide range of music for female voices from Hildegard of Bingen to newly-commissioned works.

Since their debut at Oxford’s University Church, Iridiana has quickly found itself at the heart of music-making in the city, performing at the prestigious Oxford Lieder Festival, at a sell-out concert at the University Church, at St Hilda’s College and giving performances of ‘An Imaginary Pilgrimage’ at the Chapels of Wadham College and New College.

Iridiana can be regularly be heard singing for services at Christ Church Cathedral and at New College. For details of our forthcoming events please click here.
